We are different

 I believe that men and women are different. God did that on purpose. He created Adam and Eve! Everyone has special skills that contribute to our world, all together we are the human population. Imagine how boring it would be if we were all exactly the same! To start on a funny note, here is an inaccurate graphic:

I know this isn't really how it is, but it is pretty funny. Scientifically, male and female brains are actually different! This can be seen from a young age. As girls and boys play together, it is common to see the boys rough housing while the girls play nicely. 


Does gender matter? What do you think? I say yes, gender is a part of who we are!

Unfortunately, because of our differences, we can be treated different negatively. Some men assume the women will stay home with the children and limit our accessibility to jobs. Men are often expected to do the things that take muscle or that have to do with cars. When I go to the auto shop to get something done on my car the experience is the same almost every time. All the workers are men and they try to dupe me and convince me I need everything fixed assuming I am unknowledgeable about cars. 

We are different for a reason, we should celebrate these differences and play to our strengths. We can do this without making assumptions and treating others how we expect them to act. We can be accepting of women who do not wish to peruse an education, but remain at home and focus on their families! This is just as noble as the women who work day and night to own their own company.

Get to work

We had a small garden that needed frequent weeding and picking throughout the summer. Once we moved to a new house that needed a lot of yardwork so that summer was full of weeding a steep hill and putting down bark. My parents have a boat which means we get to have lots of fun, but it also requires lots of work to keep it in good condition. We strongly believe that everyone pitches in. With dinner we each tackle a dish and help set up and wash dishes after. Chores and work can be annoying, but this brings families together.   This is my last blog post! Thank you for anyone who has read throughout these past few months. I have been able to share a lot of what I have been learning about family relations. First, I’ll share what I have learned this week and then do a quick recap.             This week has been on divorce and reestablished families. Why do people divorce? Some common reasons are because the partners simply cannot stand one another, finances, and selfishness.
